What a hard day!

Last night as my children and I were going through their night time ritual I had an interesting conversation with my almost 3 year old. He was on the potty as this is #1 on our bedtime ritual list.

Micah: Man, I had such a hard day.

Me (trying not to laugh and wondering how this could be possible):Wow, are you sure, didn't you play a lot?

Micah: Yah with Madeline( friend not his sister) the girl, you know. We blew bubles and you know and stuff.

Sometimes I am amazed at the hilarious things kids say....What are your kids saying?

That's cute!! My daughter (age 5) cracked me up the other day. She was talking to Grandma on the phone and said, "as I was saying", and then went on with her little story. She also has a good sense of how people are related within the family. So the other day, she said to her great grandpa, "so, I hear you are my grandma's father?". Kids just say the cutest things!

How cute that little Micah is! Judah doesn't talk yet, but he does effectively communicate. We were driving around one day when he was about 14 months old and we were looking at a field. I mentioned to Brian, "I wonder why someone would lease out that field?" And he replied, "well maybe to put some cows in" and from the back of the car we hear a clear, little "moo". We laughed pretty hard because we hadn't realized that we weren't the only ones in on the conversation.

It was Friday afternoon and we were headed to the grocery store. While I was strapping Madeleine (almost 3) into her carseat, I was explaining to her that she'd be staying with her aunt that evening since Daddy was taking Mommy on a date (woo-hoo!) because he loved me so much. She contemplated this for a second, tilted her head to the side and said, "And he'll throw you up in the air!"

You folks are obviously so stuck in your limited way of thinking that you can not begin to grasp what the person means who refers to Mexico as a "A first world country" which of course it is.You have not a clue!Your shallow response made that very clear.Furthermore you ask for prayers for Mexico while speaking of near panic at the possibility of Sams being closed !! Are you that stupid ,forgive me but it hurts to imagine people like you .Can you not see how Sam's ,Walmart y such places,,such a pervasive system of globalization ! contributes to the loss of many a local economy..so on and so forth..there is oh so much to say ...How dare these teachers interfere with a trip to sam's club? How dare you write such insulting words..hopefully the strike will have more than one good outcome..perhaps it will encourage folks such as yourselves to leave Mexico! I came across your words in my attempts to read about Oaxaca's teachers..I am now speaking my mind..perhaps you prefer the insipid emails people seem to write about everything being oh so cute (and your kids are lovely I am sure! I mean no offense to them.)The older I get, the less easy I find it is to not speak my mind and I have ALWAYS spoken my mind!!(Sounds like you encourage your kids to do so also. Will you be prepared when they disagree with you? I hope they do!) Have a good day..truly I mean that. Thanks for reading.,,,and please do some reading to enlighten yourself..and talk to people.
